This is for players who want to progress and push themselves.
Academy players receive individual player plans and on-field and off-field development, and train 2/3 sessions a week.
Academy players will be supported where possible and when ready, to take up further opportunities and the club will assist with support for trials for state teams & interstate trials or experiences.
YOUTH Academy:
Youth players are encouraged to approach our Head of Youth Football at youthdevelopment@taroonafc.org to discuss and express interest for these options.
Senior players are encouraged to approach our Technical Director at youthdevelopment@taroonafc.org to discuss and express interest for these options.
Youth Academy players will commit to:
Summer Season (Term 1 & 4) - x1 or 2 SKiLLS Training session + x1 Academy session
Winter Season (Term 2 &3) - x1 team training session a week + x1 TFC SKiLLS session + x1 Academy training session a week
Who can be part of the Academy?
The academy is for players, from both female & male teams, who want to maximise their football
development and strive to play at the highest level they can achieve.
What training commitment do players need to make?
The academy starts at the beginning of Term 1 - however players can request to join training sessions by emailing youthdevelopment@taroonafc.org
Players are expected to train with their development team once a week in Term 2 & 3, to attend at least two TFC Skills session per week, and be keen to spend time working on their skills outside training sessions.
How much does the Academy Program cost?
Cost of program is $330 to $220 per Term and the additional winter season fee.
Winter Season Fee includes:

Registration fees for the winter season games and x1 training session in Term 2 & 3

An FFA accredited coach, overseen by an FFA C licensed Technical Director

Training equipment and ground hire
Academy Fee includes:

High performance training session once a week and 1 or 2 SKiLLS training sessions with likeminded players, this registration is via SKiLLS

Academy Education Sessions x6 per year

2023 Player Pack that includes backpack, drink bottle & football diary
How will players be selected?
Players will be selected based on player ages, ability, and level of
commitment to their football development, if you are interested in Academy please email youthdevelopment@taroonafc.org or complete this EOI form.
NOTE: We cannot guarantee every player a place in the Youth Academy Program.

SENIOR Academy:

15+ Senior SKiLLS
15+ Senior Tech+
Who is the Senior Academy for?
The Senior Academy is for players aged 15 years and older who aspire to high-performance football. This includes state teams, National Premier League, A-League and Matildas. The focus is on individual technical development, speed and agility, commitment, and good behaviours.
What is the Academy program?

Players in the Academy program are expected to attend 3 training sessions per week, and to follow the Home Program from the Player Handbook.

The Senior Academy will offer a technical Tech+ session each week to complement the Tuesday and Thursday senior team training sessions.

Players will receive a Player Handbook and receive support for goal setting, reflection, and competency assessment. Coaches will provide individual feedback.
Who runs the program?

The Senior Academy will be managed through Taroona FC SKiLLS Training program and is designed to complement team training sessions.

The Senior Academy follows on from the Youth Academy for players 12-15 years. All sessions run by experienced accredited coaches.
How do I apply to join?
If you are interested in joining the Academy, please complete the Registration Form by Friday 4th February.
How much does it cost*?

Registration for TECH+: $60 per term. Register here

Training kit: Orange TECH+ training top ($38) and Black shorts ($28.50) and Black socks ($15) which are available for purchase from SKiLLS and a Mid-layer ($63.50) or Track top ($58.50), available from the Taroona FC online shop
