Recently, our WSL Head Coach, Karen Wills, and Men's Championship Head Coach, Llewyn Tubb, completed their FA/AFC B-Licences! This is a huge achievement on an individual level, and is also an achievement that enriches our football community.
Llewyn Tubb says: "The advanced coaching pathway, which I initially started with the C Licence in 2018, opened my eyes to how I could analyse the game with more depth and coach effectively. The B Licence was not only the next step in that accreditation but was also an opportunity to meet other coaches from across the state. The insights from other coaches and their experiences was invaluable."
"I firmly believe that quality coaches are the basis of a strong club. I strongly encourage players, parents, or anyone with an interest in football to get involved in coaching. Better coaches, make better players!"
Karen Wills says: "Completing the FA/AFC B Diploma was important for my ongoing development as a coach. My tactical awareness and match analysis have both improved and have undoubtedly helped me to improve the performance of our WSL squad throughout the season."
"We were fortunate to have a large group of coaches with diverse experience and coaching styles, which really enriched our learning."
"It was great to have a few other female coaches on the course. To help us build on the legacy of the 2023 Women's World Cup, of course increased funding is important, but it is critical that we support more females in coaching roles, not only at grassroots levels but all the way through to our senior competitions."
Again, a huge congratulations to our amazing coaches. We are grateful to have such driven and passionate Club members as a part of the Taroona FC community!
