COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT
Double trouble! We are super excited to announce our Women's Championship Co-Coaches - Chloe Williams and Kelsey Allen!
Why did you decide to take on the coaching role?
Chloe: I was excited to take on the role because I am very passionate about my soccer and if I can support others to feel the same way through providing a fun and supportive environment, I will find the opportunity so rewarding!
Kelsey: I helped Tay and Stef with a couple of champ training sessions last year, and really enjoyed it! So when Chloe reached out to me and suggested we take on the role together, I thought it sounded like fun and would be a great opportunity!
What do you look to achieve this year with the squad?
Chloe: Kelsey and I both want to work on our own playing this year and so it is my hope to inspire others to do the same through engaging training sessions and taking the time to work with individuals on their playing goals. We had such a fun season last year and came a long way as a team, so my greatest hope is to keep building and progressing as a squad.
Kelsey: We are really keen to build on the great foundations put in place last year by our 2024 coaches, Tayla and Stef, and keep developing the team’s skills and playing style (and of course, it would be awesome to get a few more wins too!
What is your coaching experience? Or what coach learning would you like to do?
Chloe: I have never coached soccer before, despite playing it my whole life, but I have coached gymnastics and taught Physical Education in a Primary School setting. I am keen to learn on the job and interested in becoming qualified.
Kelsey: This is my first year coaching, but I am really looking forward to developing my existing knowledge of the game by undertaking further coach-specific training. However, in the interim, we are also so lucky to have Holly-Lace Ayton supporting us, who has a wealth of experience as a B-level coach.
What message would you like to tell players that are thinking about playing Champ Women's at Taroona FC this year?
Chloe: I am so excited to play and work with you all this year. If you’re looking for the perfect balance between fun/social and competitive soccer, I think we are going to be a good fit!
Kelsey: Please come along if you’re looking for a fun environment, where we can all develop as a team, and play to our strengths! It’s going to be a great year and we will be having an awesome time, and will be looking forward to being a force to be reckoned with on the pitch!
Best of luck to Chloe and Kelsey this coming season, we can't wait to see what they achieve!
