Our U18 team braved the blistering cold on Wednesday evening at Kelvedon. Nick Harnwell provided his side’s only goal, but it wasn’t enough to prevent a tight loss to the South Hobart Blue side (1-2). They play at KGV next Wednesday night, taking on a tough opposition in the Glenorchy Knights. Wishing our young lads the best of luck!

With not much else to report on due to a recent break in the season, we’re looking forward to our senior leagues returning to the park this weekend. Our Men’s Championship and Championship 1 teams should be approaching Saturday’s matches against Metro FC with a hearty amount of confidence after a weekend off to rest their goal scoring legs (which must have been exhausted after their most recent game). Our Men’s Championship 3 team face a strong opposition in the second places South Hobart side, but hopefully the home advantage gives our Pirates a slight edge.

In the Women’s game, we have our WSL and Championship Pirates taking on South Hobart at Darcy St, and our Championship 1 team taking on Olympia at home. Wishing all our teams the best of luck this weekend, and we’ll have our fingers crossed that the rain holds off for the matches at the very least! Hopefully we can get a good amount of spectators out there for both our home and away games. Don’t forget that we have a bunch of Taroona FC Merchandise available at the Kiosk and Online Shop which will help in braving the cold now that we’re in the chilly part of the season!
