Match Centre

Our U18 lads continue their fine form under star coach Pascall Gee, winning their match against Southern FC on Wednesday evening. Ky Fieldhouse provided a brace and Joshua King added a goal of his own to seal the 3-1 victory at Sherburd Oval. Sunday saw our Men’s Champ 3 team taking on Hobart United at Cosgrove, where they suffered a 0-6 loss.

Our Women’s Championship team have a well earned break this week after a tough 0-8 loss at home last weekend against the Glenorchy Knights. Our WSL Pirates have fresh legs after a bye last round, and will put them to good use this weekend against the travelling Devonport Strikers. Last year, our WSL Pirates managed an upset by plundering a win from the favourites - could this year’s clash bring about another great result for our team? You’ll have to come along to Kelvedon on Saturday at 2.30pm to find out.

Saturday brings about a slew of senior games, with our Men’s Championship 1 team kicking things off at 10am, and our Champ lads following them at 12.30pm. Our Senior Men’s teams are continuing their winning streak, recently having won their games against South East United last weekend. The Champ 1 Pirates managed a 3-2 victory thanks to a goal by Jonas Rutheford and a brace by Aidan Taylor, while our Men’s Champ team didn’t let the first half score rattle them, coming out into the second half with new resolve and determination. Sam James converted a penalty in the 63 minute, and Oliver Maxwell and Fergus Bridge added the other goals to bring the final score to 3-1.

Best of luck to all our teams in their upcoming games this weekend, come along to Kelvedon this Saturday for a day of jam-packed action!
