Our Men's Championship team are proving to be real champs this year! Another win over the weekend has secured their place in the Summer Cup Grand Final. A feisty match against University on Saturday morning saw our lads clinch a 2-1 victory (Charlie Howcroft 1, Nicholas Kains 1). Now, our Senior Men's team has two massive games lined up for the weekend, with the first round of the Lakoseljac Cup kicking off tonight at 7pm against Metro FC. Head on out to North Chigwell this evening to support our guys in their next endeavour, but don't forget that the main course is being served on Monday morning! Make sure you get to Darcy Street, 10:30am, to see our Men's Champ team take on South Hobart in the Sumer Cup Final. Word has it that the food truck, Abundance on the Quay, will be there for all your food and beverage needs.

Sadly, our Senior Women's team's Summer Cup final hopes have been dashed with two major losses over the course of a single week. A dastardly 0-10 loss against Kingborough on Saturday was a hard pill to swallow, however the team approached their mid-week game against South Hobart with a fresh outlook, managing to hold the opposition to nil all in an evenly matched first half, before conceding 3 in the second half to seal the 0-3 loss. The team now has two match-free weeks due to a bye in Round 1 of the 2022 season, but will be looking to use this extra time to continue to build on the successful aspects of their game, and to refine their attacking prowess before their 2nd Round match against the Devonport Strikers.
