KGV is once again your one-stop-shop for Summer Cup action this weekend! Last weekend was not a victorious one for our Pirates, but both senior teams are looking forward to the fresh opposition this weekend.

Last Sunday's scorching hot day saw our Women's team take on the Clarence Zebras. After a strong start and a strong finish, the 1-5 loss felt slightly disappointing. Some brilliant chances upfront saw our Pirates score at the 70 minute mark when Zyla Williams zoomed in and cleaned up a spillage in the 6-yard box.

In the Men's Championship game, our Pirates conceded early in the first half but Jake Stuart was able to set the score equal right before the half time whistle. After a hard-fought second half, the opposition stole the game with a goal in extra time.

Wishing both our senior teams the best of luck in their games this weekend. It's looking to be another great day of football (here's to hoping the weather isn't as hot as last week, though) so be sure to get on out and support our Pirates at KGV! Our Pirates can also vouch for the chicken kebabs from the nearby Grove Road Takeaway as a tasty game-side snack.
