We’ve had a very quiet weekend due to Statewide Cup games being played, which currently sees our U18s still in the running after they won by default due to Burnie United forfeiting. Our Social Men’s L3 team took on Southern Football Club at Sherburd Park on Friday night. Our Pirates lost 1-3, with our team’s lone goal going to Thomas Friend, who then got red carded later in the game.

Our Social Women’s L2 team took on Hobart City FC a bit closer to home, at Sandown Park. They tied 2-2 with the home team, with Lauren Jarvis responsible for the brace. Key player and Pirate legend, Shani, says it was a “ripper of a game with a huge amount of possession and near misses!” Well done, Pirates!

This weekend sees a return to our regular schedule of games, so let’s get on out and support our Pirates! Don't forget to rug up now that the weather is getting chilly.
