In the Under 18’s Statewide Cup Semi Final our Girls team met with a strong South Hobart side in stormy weather conditions at KGV. They were 1-0 up at half time after playing exceptional first half. Coach Holly-Lace Ayton says in the second half “South Hobart changed their level of press and we struggled once fatigued. However Ruby Jacobson and Bridget O'Brien had cracker games!!!” Well done Pirates on an admirable Cup campaign.
Our Social Men’s team tied 3-3 with Huon Valley on Sunday afternoon. According to team rep Joe Coolidge “Marcus Atkinson scored a goal of the year contender volley from outside of the box.” Other goal scorers were Beau Du Pen and Kaspar Deane. Our Senior Women’s and Men’s teams will be looking forward to getting back onto the park this weekend after a break in the roster. Our Men’s Championship team will be hoping for a strong win against Olympia to consolidate their League standings, and our WSL Pirates will be working hard to cause a League upset when they take on a top of the ladder Devonport on Saturday. Best of luck to all our teams this weekend!
