Kelvedon Park Update - April

Writer's picture: Taroona FCTaroona FC

From Kingborough Council - The ground seeding seems to have gone well with a good strike and establishment in the first couple of weeks.

It is really going to be a wait and see approach for when games can be played on it this season. It will be very weather dependant and as the temperature drops so will the growth and root strength.  Root strength is my major concern and the main parameter that will determine when games can start. If we play on it to early than the grass will get kicked out very easily and we will have to limit the use significantly.

We will be trying our best to get the ground ready for some games this season and will throw everything at our disposal to make this happen.
