VOTM - August

August's Volunteer of the Month is Martine Siltman!

Martine is an extraordinary volunteer, she has been involved in community and school groups over many years in Taroona and brings huge enthusiasm, energy and capability to every group. We are so grateful to have her help at Taroona FC.

Recently Martine suggested, and then organised, our first club-wide raffle, a fantastic initiative which will help support the club to continue to develop our youth & senior programs.

Martine says: “Every week I watch my daughter go off to training rain, hail or shine. I stand on the side lines and watch her games; all the while someone from the club is opening the club house, turning the heater on, putting the pies in the oven, dragging out the goal nets and balls, coaching, supporting and mentoring all the players. Someone is managing the finances, updating equipment, writing newsletters, fundraising, organising training for coaches and the list goes on and on. If I can take a small burden off by volunteering I hope it contributes to the success of this amazing club.”

Thanks so much for everything you do for the Club, Martine! Your hard work is appreciated by all!

🎉 A huge thanks to Lindsay at LFD Personal Trainer & Massage Therapist for sponsoring this monthly award! Each recipient is awarded a $20 LFD voucher and a certificate recognising their achievement and thanking them for their hard work 🎉
